TROPHY TROUT SPRINGS RANCH
Trophy Trout offers great fly
fishing in Montana's Big Sky Country-where the deer and the antelope
roam-where wildlife outnumbers people by the hundreds. Trophy Trout
Springs Ranch is in the heart of Montana in the Judith Basin on the
South Bench of the Little Belt Mountains with pure clean air and
some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets you will ever see.
Our ranch is located between
Great Falls and Billings with Glacier Park to the north and
Yellowstone Park to the south. We are close to where the artist
Charlie Russell grew up from 1880-1889 and just a few minutes from
the legendary Yogo Sapphire Mine which contains some of the world's
finest sapphires.
We have opened these great
fishing ponds to the public. We have thousands of 12"-18" trout,
and some five and eight pound trout.
At 4500 ft. elevation the
nights are cool and the trout grow big with brilliant color and lots
of fight. For years we have raised trophy rainbow trout weighing
eight to ten pounds and Brook trout over five pounds. Now we have
three times the cold spring water we had in the past due to recent
expansion.
The spring produces 46 degree
cool water that runs year round. This produces abundant fresh water
shrimp and other feed for the trout. These are wild trout that feed
on all natural feed. These trout gain two pounds a year so it's
only a matter of time before we will have even more trout for you to
enjoy!
There is complete privacy of
lodge and fish ponds for parties up to about six. No fishing
license is required as this is a private pond, privately stocked.
Fishing is catch and release, fly fishing only, barbless hooks.
Trophy trout may be purchased for mounting, however. Fishermen can
fish when and as much as you choose. No guides to tag along. Enjoy
our beautiful Arabian horses grazing in the pastures.
There are numerous things to
see and do in this area including scenic mountain trips-visiting
Charlie Russell Point and the old ghost towns such as Yogo,
Philbrook, Lehigh.
Reservations are accepted
April 1 through November 15.
Fishing packages include
delicious home cooked meals, lodging and private fly fishing.
The lodge is great for private
parties of approximately six. It is 1852 sq ft with 2400 ft of
deck, three bedroooms with six beds, two bath with a jet tub in the
master bedroom, large living room and dining room.
Reservations require a 50%
deposit and reservations should be made as soon as possible in
advance. In case of cancellation, we can reschedule reservations
or sixty days notice is required. A 10% discount may apply in
April and after Labor Day until November 15, depending on
reservations.

Trophy Trout Springs Ranch is
85 miles from Great Falls International Airport and 35 miles from
Lewistown which is served by Big Sky Airlines. Shuttle service is
available. If you prefer, rental cars are available at Great Falls
International Airport or Billings Airport.
Some equipment and supplies
are available including fly tying equipment and also fly fishing
instruction.
We are not a large facility,
but a great place to fly fish in privacy.

FALL HUNTING SPECIAL- We
are surrounded by game and just a few miles from the heart of the Little
Belt Mountains. $100 per day will include all meals, room, and fishing.
